Oh my goodness, it's 104 degrees again today. 111 degrees, according to my car. I'm feeling so horrible for our pets, but probably the girls the most, because they're stuck outside and because they're still very young.
Other than their little mouths hanging open and the panting, though, they're acting normal: chasing each other around the yard, foraging for bugs and such.
Seems like they've grown a ton this week. Here are some pics of them from today. They've figured out they can find goodies on the ground if they hang out under the compost bins.

The poor girls are trying to stay cool in this heat by resting in the dirt. They burrowed into the dirt, kicking it up into their backs.

July 20, 2014 - The Girls Move Outside!

Today, the girls' chirps are noticeably changing. No more sweet little peeps. Looking forward to the cool chicken sounds they'll soon make, though.
More black-tipped white feathers are popping out on Bonnie today, most noticeably around her neck. Still all fuzz on top her head, though.
The top of Molly's head is all fuzz, too. Penny is the only one with feathers coming in on her melon. Kinda looks like she has frosted tips, or gel in her "hair". Speaking of Penny, she has the most developed comb so far, too. Pretty cute!
Here are a few pics from today...
